In this class we will explore approaches to performing masc and femme voices, particularly when those identities diverge from our own embodied identity. We will look at pitch, resonance, oral posture, prosody and approaches to character, as well as identifying common pitfalls that hinder nuanced exploration of voices that aren't part of our lived experience.

This class will help you develop a specific and personal approach to text analysis in prepping for narration. We will work on techniques to discover and retain our alignment to the material, tone, POV, genre, subtext and character development.
