This class will help you develop a specific and personal approach to text analysis in prepping for narration. We will work on techniques to discover and retain our alignment to the material, tone, POV, genre, subtext and character development.
Instructor: Shannon Parks
Instructor Bio: Shannon Parks (aka Marguerite Gavin) has been a professional audiobook narrator for over twenty five years with over 500+ titles, numerous Audie nominations and Earphones awards, and a devoted fan following. She has been described as a “genre-defining narrator” by Audible.com; having a “sonorous voice, rich and full of emotion” and as having the “coveted ability to disappear as the narrator, letting the story take the limelight it deserves.” She is also a seasoned theater veteran, acting and directing in hundreds of productions , and now coaches narrators in the art of acting the audiobook.
Class Length: 120 Minutes

Please note that classes that do not meet a minimum number of students may be cancelled with 48 hours notice. Students will be notified by email and their payment refunded.
