Accents 2: Cockney

January 23-February 13, six sessions

This 6-session conservatory level class helps actors master the major characteristics (musical, rhythmic, kinesthetic, and changes of vowel and consonant sounds) that make up the British accent commonly known as Cockney.

Audiobook Preparation

This course guides participants in the use of a spreadsheet containing all of the information necessary to fully research and prepare story flow, characters, pronunciations, queries to rights holders and producers, workflow, finished hours, and anything else you want to add.

Studio Tech Talk

This class and Q&A will provide an introduction to the practical aspects of creating and using a home studio for audiobook recording.

Headliner Tutorial

Emily Ellet

February 3

In this 30-minute session, Emily Ellet will walk you through the incredibly simple and free Headliner app that many narrators use to produce marketing videos of their book covers with their narration playing over, often called “audiograms.”

Character Creation for Audiobooks: Exploring Archetypes and More

This course will discuss what audiobook narrators need to explore to create real characters in imaginary circumstances for long-form auditory storytelling.

Feldenkrais Lessons

February 6-March 16, six sessions

The Feldenkrais Method uses gentle movements and directed attention to: increase ease and range of motion; improve breathing and stamina; improve comfort in sitting and narrating for long hours; decrease/eliminate pain; improve self-use in all aspects of daily life.

Pomodoro Course
