The State of AI: A VO Industry Panel

As generative technologies rapidly advance, voice actors have feared what impact artificial intelligence will have on their work. The legislative landscape continues to change, and in the spirit of equipping VOs with up to date information, PANA, NAVA, CODA, and WoVO are proud to present this panel on the state of AI. On February 24th at 12pm PT/ 3pm ET/ 8pm BT, we’re bringing together experts to discuss the current state of legislation and technology to better understand where we are and what’s coming next. 

The panel will feature Tim Friedlander (President of the National Association of Voice Actors), Visar Berisha (Associate Dean at Arizona State University & Professor in Machine Learning), Ning Zhang (Associate Professor in AI Security at Washington University), and David Newhoff (IP & Cyber Policy Rights Advocate and founder of RightsClick), with moderation from André Santana (Board Member of the Professional Audiobook Narrators Association).

We’ll be hearing from each panelist about the latest in their line of work, the implications for voice actors of all kinds, and their predictions and suggestions for the future.
