Kimberly M. Wetherell
Board Chair
Kimberly’s 30+ year career in The Arts has made her a certifiable polymath. She’s a classically trained actor, an award-winning filmmaker, an accomplished international opera director and producer, a published essayist, a professional pastry chef, a NYC reading series host, and now, an award-winning audiobook narrator and director.
Born and raised on Florida’s Gulf Coast, and after spending the bulk of the 90s wanderlusting around the world, she finally landed in New York City in 2000 and has stayed put (more or less) ever since.
Having worked with Big Five publishers and indie authors alike, her favorite books to narrate are stories that feature smart, strong, not-so-silent types. Notable directorial projects have including working with authors such as John Waters (yes, that John Waters), Mary L. Trump, PhD, Valerie Biden Owens, Charlie Jane Anders, Betty Gilpin, and Bonnie Wright, as well as a panoply of industry leading narrators. Above all, however, as a life-long book nerd, she still can’t believe she’s figured out how to read books for a living!
