Who is Narrator Alliance? Let’s hear from them:
“We know this career can be tedious, exhausting, and lonely. It can also be joyful, uplifting, and deeply fulfilling. That’s why we make space to talk about all of our experiences in narration—good, bad, and totally weird.
Our mission is simple: To create a safe, confidential space where we as narrators can support each other through the mental and emotional effects of our work.
We believe in building a stronger community, sustained through empathy and accountability. And we believe that no one should have to feel isolated as they pursue this work.
Our meetings work like this:
We gather once a month on Zoom. Meetings are structured and facilitated, so you don’t have to worry about feeling overwhelmed or confused. After some introductory remarks, we divide all attendees into breakout rooms of 4-8 people, each led by an organizer. The organizer guides the discussion, making sure anyone who wants to share and seek feedback is able to do so. Once breakout rooms are complete, we all gather back together for a final, informal visit and wrap-up conversation. Meetings run for a maximum of 2 hours. That’s all there is to it!”
